Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026
Zero Sugar is a personal habit tracking app that helps you follow sugar‑free challenges. This policy explains what data the app accesses, including any health‑related data, how that data is used, and how it is stored.
1. Data we collect and access
Zero Sugar does not require you to create an account and does not collect your name, email address, or other contact information inside the app.
The app stores the following information locally on your device:
- Challenge details: start date, challenge duration, and basic configuration of your sugar‑free challenge.
- Daily check‑ins: whether you mark each day as a success or failed.
- Notes: any free‑text notes you choose to save for a given day (for example how you felt, what you ate, or cravings).
- Reminder settings: whether notifications are enabled and the time of day for reminders.
Because challenge details, daily check‑ins and notes can reflect your diet and lifestyle, this information may be considered health data or health‑related data under some regulations.
2. How we use your data
The data listed above is used only for the following purposes:
- To display your challenges, history, streaks and progress inside the app.
- To show your daily status (success, failed, upcoming) on the tracking calendar.
- To schedule and display local reminder notifications on your device, if you enable them.
Zero Sugar does not use your health data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose outside of providing the core habit tracking functionality.
3. Data storage and retention
- All challenge data, check‑ins, notes and settings are stored locally on your device’s storage.
- We do not upload this data to our own servers.
- Your platform provider (Apple or Google) may create encrypted backups of app data as part of system‑level device backups if you enable them.
- Your data is kept for as long as the app remains installed on your device. If you uninstall the app, the locally stored data will be removed from your device.
4. Data sharing
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal or health‑related data with third parties for marketing or advertising.
- We do not integrate third‑party analytics SDKs that track your behavior inside Zero Sugar.
- We may receive anonymous, aggregated information from the app stores (for example, install counts or crash statistics) according to Apple or Google’s own privacy policies.
5. Children’s privacy
Zero Sugar is intended for general audiences and is not specifically targeted at children under 13. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
6. Your choices and control
- You can stop using the app at any time.
- You can delete your data by uninstalling the app from your device, which removes the locally stored challenge data and notes.
- You can turn notifications on or off at any time in the app’s Settings or in your device settings.
